Barine Majewska is counsel in Vicente LLP’s Denver office and a leading member of the firm’s Psychedelics and Emerging Therapies Practice Group. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, she began her career in corporate law at Cooley LLP, working with startups on venture capital and M&A.
Her respect for plant medicine led to an internship in psilocybin studies at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where firsthand experience as a guide gave her clear insights into the benefits and pitfalls of psychedelic work. At Vicente, she applies the firm’s pioneering spirit from the cannabis industry to foster the safe and legal use of psilocybin, ketamine, MDMA, and other entheogens.
Fascinated by the industry’s ethical and cultural challenges, she also assists clients with corporate and IP licensing matters. She holds a physics degree and is fluent in Turkish.
