Psychedelic Practitioner Certification

This is our flagship training program, established in 2021, that 300+ practitioners have now completed. The complete practitioner arc – assessment, preparation, facilitation, integration, and microdosing – built on Paul’s framework. Best for those building or deepening a psychedelic coaching practice.

Why Learn From the Psychedelic Coaching Institute?
Now the gold standard in professional psychedelic training, we have taught hundreds of practitioners to master the skill of psychedelics since 2021.
Founder Paul F. Austin recognized a critical gap: more and more well-meaning people were interested in becoming practitioners, but few had the education, hands-on training, ethical clarity, and marketability to become credible and make a positive impact.
The Psychedelic Coaching Institute came into existence to close this gap by training the next generation of psychedelic leaders. We grew from our sister company, Third Wave, which has been a trusted resource for psychedelic education for 10+ years.
Today, we blend science, spirit, and skill to give our certified practitioners a comprehensive toolkit for preparation, facilitation, and integration. Paul’s expertise in intentional microdosing, in particular, guides many of our core methodologies.

Which program should I start with?
It depends on your background and what you want to be doing with it.
But, broadly speaking, here’s how to think about it:
Attending our Q&A is the fastest way to sort this out, just bring your background and we’ll talk it through.
- Microdosing Practitioner Certification if you’re new to coaching, building a foundation, or want a focused microdosing-focused clinical practice
- Psychedelic Practitioner Certification if you’re training as a full psychedelic practitioner, and already have a basic coaching and/or clinical foundation
- Electives if you already have a practice and want a specific competency.

Is there a payment plan?
Yes. Students in the US can use Affirm at checkout, which offers 0% interest financing for up to 18 months on approved applications. If you’re outside the US, contact us directly and we’ll arrange an in-house payment plan with you.
What's the time commitment?
4–6 hours per week. Live pods every other week; the rest is self-paced.
Is the in-person intensive required?
No. Certification can be completed entirely online.
Do I need to be a credentialed coach to apply?
No. Our students include coaches, clinicians, and career-changers.
Can I take an elective without joining a certification?
Yes, electives are open to qualified external practitioners.
Are CE credits available?
On electives, yes. Our flagship training programs are non-clinical and not CE-eligible.
What about ICF accreditation?
We’re pursuing ICF Level 1 for the Microdosing Practitioner Certification. ICF rules bar any claim before it’s granted so please ask on the call for where things stand.
What if I can't attend the Q&A live?
Register anyway. Every registrant gets the recording.
Will I have to be on camera or speak?
Not at all. Attend with your camera off, ask in the chat, and we’ll answer it.
