Why this is not a prescriber-only skill. One of the six core classes covers the taper itself. The other five cover work practitioners are already doing without a framework behind it, including screening, candidacy, telling withdrawal from relapse, holding the nervous system through the reduction, and the handoff.
Exactly what this qualifies you to do, tier by tier. Guides and facilitators, licensed prescribers, licensed mental health professionals, and coaches each get a different answer, and every participant finishes the program with their own scope written down and defensible to a board, an insurer, or a referring physician.
